Common Sense! - A Re-Call to America My desperate act for redemption!!! HOME

Common Sense!

Albert Einstein

The ruling class has the schools and press under its thumb. This enables it to sway the emotions of the masses.

What is Important?

Thomas Jefferson

If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

A new car? Insurance? Fashion? Your hair? The style of your clothes; where you live; who you are seen with; people you know? Money? What “matters” to you?

The life of a murderer, the life of a relative, the life of your pet, the life of a stranger, a wild animal, a tree, a river, a drop of rain: do any of these spark of importance?

Why ask these questions? It is important to know the answer to such questions and the many more just like them. The answers provide a valuable look at the way you situate yourself in this life. You see, many men and women have died, as well as trees, pets, rivers, and more unaccounted for, in the wars and battles of those for whom these questions were paramount. And many more have perished without notice for which these questions have but one answer. Perhaps that is the greatest tragedy of humanity. The blind, and the banal script created by those in power, transmitted and learned dutifully by those in fear of power.

By the end of this book, I expect a clear answer to all such questions. By the end of this book, I expect you to open your eyes and perceive truth! We shall see…

 Government

Lyn Nofziger

These things I believe: That government should butt out. That freedom is our most precious commodity and if we are not eternally vigilant, government will take it all away. That individual freedom demands individual responsibility. That government is not a necessary good but an unavoidable evil. That the executive branch has grown too strong, the judicial branch too arrogant and the legislative branch too stupid. That political parties have become close to meaningless. That government should work to insure the rights of the individual, not plot to take them away. That government should provide for the national defense and work to insure domestic tranquillity. That foreign trade should be fair rather than free. That America should be wary of foreign entanglements. That the tree of liberty needs to be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. That guns do more than protect us from criminals; more importantly, they protect us from the ongoing threat of government. That states are the bulwark of our freedom. That states should have the right to secede from the Union. That once a year we should hang someone in government as an example to his fellows.

Franklin D. Roosevelt

The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson.

Government is one of those words often used and seldom understood. Webster’s 11th edition collegiate dictionary defines government as:

1.   The act or process of governing; authoritative direction or control.

2.   Moral conduct or behaviour: discretion.

3.   The office, authority, or function of governing.

4.   The continuous exercise of authority over and the performance of functions for a political unit.

5.   The organization, machinery, or agency through which a political unit exercises authority and performs functions and which is usually classified by the distribution of power within it.

Let’s clarify; the first definition is bold and misunderstood by the majority of readers as the provenance of others. No! The first and primary meaning of government is to govern the self. When did the people of America and other large countries choose to lose control over their lives? When did the power of merchandising, the programming of the evening news, and the propaganda of politicians convince you of the futility of your own dreams and desires? And most importantly, why did you give up?

You know the questions. You hear the dissent and the prodding in movies and in television, but the questions are left either unanswered or worse, the punch line of an unfinished joke. Let me make a few statements here that need saying. Question and Answer.

Q: Why has Osama Bin Laden not been caught in over five years while all sort of subordinates we have never heard of are paraded for us as victories?

A: Because he is on the US payroll! Osama did only as instructed! The US Plutocratic “Government” has known for decades that the most efficient way to control the citizenry is through fear. The Twin Towers were an architectural nightmare waiting to happen and the demolition of these American symbols could pay for themselves by providing a much-needed shot of patriotism and fear in this country.

Q: Why would a fanatically religious movement of two thousand years attack a country on religious grounds by destroying a building?

A: They wouldn’t! They would and could attack large Christian gatherings in convention centres and huge churches in this country that hold tens of thousands on any given Sunday! Ask Timothy McVeigh about the ease of creating a ten-megaton van bomb from store bought chemicals. Any fool with a drivers license could annihilate churches across this country at will! With much greater casualties and much greater generation of fear! This is terrorism, NOT real-estate redevelopment. I don’t mean to be insensitive to those who were lost in New York. But, that is not the point; it makes absolutely no sense except to the spin media architects of the “administration”!

If anything rings of stench in this propaganda, it is the financial reasoning of the spin media. Come on people! The whole “terrorist” effort was funded through America. Why would the “terrorists” blow their own funding? And as if to drive this point home, the idiotic spin press had us fed with stories of the shut down of all avenues of funding in this country to the “terrorists”. This administration gave itself full license to delve into the financial mechanisms and records of anyone in this country! And don’t forget the great shell game of admitting that Osama had been a CIA operative and trained by the US as though that meant he would be hard to fight or discover. They practically told us through their media machine, that he is still working for US “interests”!

Have any of you read “Fahrenheit 451”? Do any of you READ?

Q: Why are gasoline prices higher?

A: You stopped paying attention to the threats! When the fear bubble starts to wane, the citizens need to be reminded, read punished, for forgetting the all-omniscient importance of the “administration!

You will kowtow or you will pay.

Where is the voice of the sane man?

We see bleating whiners on television saying things like, “the government needs to do something about this”, and, “ They can’t do this to us, it ain’t right”. Well guess what, they done did it dumbshit! The question is, what are you going to do about it? The answer, Americans buy more SUVs and drive more places to show off their spinning hub caps and cell phones. You IDIOTS!

Abortion & Women’s “Rights”

We live in a country that has worked exceedingly hard to create a web of laws, constitutional addendums, and an unfathomable amount of televised propaganda to ensure the “rights” of women. Yes, women have control of their own bodies by uhhh, “Law”. Women can decide whether or not to have a child and carry it through to birth. Women can prosecute any man or woman who posses a threat to her at work, in the street and even from her own family and husband. Especially though, if the offender is male. That’s right, I said offender. No harm has to actually befall this woman, but the mere threat of harm is prosecuted in this country. I am not saying there is no such thing as rape, but rape is simply a “form” of something we already had a great many laws for. Assault and battery has been around as long as lawyers have existed. The “spook” of rape has been used to alter all reason when discussing the fragility of women and the attendant requirement for their over-protection.

Here is the conundrum, or more accurately the insult; in all this fervour to protect women, males have been cornered into a malignant pool of undesirable perverts capable at any instant to lash out in Neanderthal behaviours without self-control. Men are guilty by genitalia!

Let me give you an example. A woman lives with a man for a year. They have an active sex life and in all the discussions they have about life and the future, both agree adamantly that neither wishes to have children. In fact, the woman states that she has been told by a doctor that she is almost certainly infertile, and that her desire not to have children is so strong, she not only had an abortion early in their relationship, but takes birth control pills to ensure never having to deal with child birth.

As time goes on, the man is more and more convinced this is his sole mate and proposes a polemic marriage on a pagoda in a pre-planned community on Christmas day by a guy dressed as Santa Claus. She agrees and finds a guy to do it. The guy, it turns out, is a minister, and that night while in the throws of sex, she looks at him and says, “I want to have your baby”. The sex stops, he argues with her for hours. She does not respond and two days later informs him that she is pregnant and keeping the child. When did she stop taking the pill? When did she get pregnant? When did she consult him!?

In this country, he has NO RIGHTS! The court laughs at him, the laws are none existent for him. She can do as she likes, no matter how underhanded or self-serving, and there is absolutely no protection for the male. Why is she not made as responsible for her choices as making them protects her!!!

This is insanity! The laws in this country have finally made criminals of all men. There is simply no defence!

Here is the thing; Whatever your religious beliefs, as long as laws or any other representative of “government” from “legislature” has anything to say or sway the private lives of citizens, those very citizens will manipulate that power to abuse others. Whether a woman becomes pregnant or not is directly related to her actions. Is she not responsible for her actions?! What monster has been unleashed or created by legislating complete lack of responsibility for the most powerful creative act known to the universe as birth! Holy Christ! What lunacy! And then to disseminate punishment to the enticed male? The male certainly need take precaution, but is the passenger of a vehicle always the guilty party when a speeding ticket is issued? No! The driver of the vehicle is always the one at fault when the traffic law is broken, and so it should remain the woman’s responsibility for her damned womb!

“Legislative Government” does not belong in the home! This country was created on this as one of its fundamental foundations and has lost this very precious of FREEDOMS.

 Freedom

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
Dwight D. Eisenhower

Do you know what freedom is? There is no more precious a thing than human dignity. Let me restate that so that you will really hear it. Dignity is the most precious of all phenomena. The majestic Redwoods of Northern California, the precipitous peaks of the Canadian Rocky mountains, The vastness of Earths oceans, the glorious night skies of our galaxy, and the simple condensation and journey of a drop of rain all contain the majesty of creation, and none more magnificent than the self-perception of the human being. The dignity of life, all life, is paramount to any evolved being. The expression of that life without impediment, save the oppression of other lives, is the dignifying opportunity of that life. This is your only responsibility in this life: To express your life as fully as you know yourself to be, without bringing harm to others. This is also the true meaning of freedom!

So why is it that when you see someone cutting in line at the supermarket, you say nothing? Why is it when anyone in “authority” is unfair to you, you say and do nothing? Why is it, that “your” government can spill “your” tax dollars all over the world while you cannot get a cent to help you expand your business or repair your home or own your land rights or build a satisfactory road in your town or develop solar energy or create more leisure time and give you medical care or retirement insurance?

A: You are standing idly waiting for your freedom while it is taken from you before your very eyes.

Why is government not accountable for its rampant debt to other countries, all accrued through the destruction of war?

A: Because you stand idly waiting while the wealthy farce of the “federal” reserve, really a private reserve of greedy families, gleefully takes away your voice, your life, your dignity.

Grace Commission

100% of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the Federal Debt ... all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services taxpayers expect from government.

Freedom is not given to you; it is taken BY YOU, and FROM you.

In both cases, it is YOUR choice!

You must stand ready to defend, correct and establish your Freedom, the dignity of your life as integral to the dignity of ALL life. You are the only warrior capable and responsible to this highest of all creeds. Take action!

There is no excuse!

H. L. Birum, Sr.

The Federal Reserve Bank is nothing but a banking fraud and an unlawful crime against civilization. Why? Because they "create" the money made out of nothing, and our Uncle Sap Government issues their "Federal Reserve Notes" and stamps our Government approval with NO obligation whatever from these Federal Reserve Banks, Individual Banks or National Banks, etc.

Why don’t you vote?

Why don’t you get involved in your local politics? Why do you just bury your anger and disgust only to watch it explode inappropriately at the one’s you love?

Why are you so afraid?!

Education

Thomas Jefferson

If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.

One thing known to all great leaders and philosophers for thousands of years is the most effective control of large groups comes with ignorance and fear. First of all, the general populace must not become so knowledgeable or have access to knowledge that they believe themselves smart enough to question those in power. Before the advent of “printing”, books were precious and few. Many books written in the years of kingdoms and feudal states were written by members of the bourgeoisie to ridicule or spread rumours of the decadence of the ruling classes.  The ruling classes tolerated such writings and used them as entertainment themselves. These books used much sexual imagery as well as sexual experimentation as a form of demonstrating that the “royals” were decayed and immoral and treating the populace as they did their mistresses. In fact many stories came through the system of brothels from prostitutes who were often hired for the ruling classes parties and entertainments.

When these writings began to be printed and more widely distributed, the ruling classes understood that what was entertainment amongst the elite would surely cause unrest and burst the bubble of “freedom” the rulers cherished. So, the writings were labelled “pornographic” and subject to confiscation, burning, destruction, and fines and imprisonment for those found in possession of such materials.

Many would be surprised to know that the Marquis de Sade spent most of his life in prison from which he continued to write his novels of the degradations of the ruling classes.

I lived 30 years in California, and now live in Mississippi. Let me tell you that I have never before been so aware of the censorship of all informations from literature to television and radio in my lifetime until I came to live in the South.

When I arrived in this country in 1969, there were riots at universities and a large contingent of public forums. Through the seventies I watched as these forums became less and less omnipresent. Television stations, once providing a minimum of broadcast time mandated by law for the expression of local editorial comment slowly reduced that time to nothing by the mid eighties. In the nineties, personal opinion became more the subject of comedic parody than any real voice of the people.

By the turn of the century, public access, editorial, education, especially education have dwindled to barely existent if only through the maze of the Internet. And in 2001, the USA put a violent blow to the American people to convince them that their very lives were no longer in their control, and more insipiently, that the government of legislature was their only hope.

Test scores are lowered every year. Schools remove subjects from their curriculum to ensure “no child is left behind”. This is too ridiculous! Ensuring that they have LESS to learn leaves behind no child? What a farce! Why are you not OUTRAGED!?

Why are there RED STATES?!

Revolt Dammit!

Write a letter, write a book, call your representative, vote, and get involved!

Run for office, you can do it!

FREEDOM IS NOT GIVEN!

IT IS TAKEN!

They have taken it from you. They have absconded your dignity at every turn, and you have let them!

Take it BACK!

IT IS YOURS!

Privacy

Lyndon B. Johnson

Every man should know that his conversations, his correspondence, and his personal life are private.

Now the cell phone you own transmit freely all that you say and provides your exact location for any “agency” that cares to use the information.

Buddha

Believe nothing merely because you have been told it. Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to the good, the benefit, the welfare of all beings -- that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide.

You must think for yourself! Arnold Schwartzenegger once quipped that 90% of people need to be told what to do. Do Not be one of those!

Justice Robert H. Jackson

I cannot say that our country could have no secret police without becoming totalitarian, but I can say with great conviction that it cannot become totalitarian without a centralized national police.

Ask yourself, “What is Homeland Security”?…

John Adams

Be not intimidated... nor suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberties by any pretense of politeness, delicacy, or decency. These, as they are often used, are but three different names for hypocrisy, chicanery, and cowardice.

You must stand and be counted. Your dignity and freedom are for you to seize and display.

 Democracy

Democracy is not a law, or a system of government, or a set of regulations and rules. Democracy is a state of being; a stand taken by each individual to remain steadfast and ready to declare and defend the dignity of life and to protect that dignity at every opportunity through establishment of its principles in our actions. This is real education. Education by example is the most powerful tool in the guarantee of the future will of democracy. Democracy is the active will, the sustaining force, the gathering demonstration of the priori dignity of life.

And as the vehicle of dignity, democracy is the most intimate system of “government”; the government of the self, government of one’s actions, motivations, behaviours, and keen observations.

We no longer live in a “Democracy”, as we have never lived in such a place. Democracy is not a place, nor can it be driven into any places. Democracy is not a THING! Democracy is a state of MIND.

Democracy can only exist when individuals rise for the dignity of life. Only when the dignity of all life is foremost does democracy appear.

Democracy is a goal and a result of a state of mind that reveres the dignity of all life.

In Closing

Let me close this book by correcting a worldwide misconception about Buddhism. As a Buddhist Priest, teacher, and Artist, I have been remarked to be rather given to polemic and tirade as well as passionate discourse and generally verbose. This observation often accompanies a sense that it is somewhat inappropriate of a Buddhist to behave in said manner. This comes from the misconception that Buddhism is a pacifist practice. Nothing could be further from the truth. There are many sects which practice false teachings or only partial teachings that promote only self directed actions. But I ask you, if to drive a car on the roads of any city with only one traffic law in mind if one would survive for any length of time. Certainly it must make sense to you that any philosophy that posses to end all suffering and bring enlightenment cannot do so with out immersion into the world in which it lives.

In point of fact, Shakyamuni, the historical Buddha, was of the Warrior caste. He spent his life teaching in common Pali dialects to avoid the segregation built into the language of the higher castes. He did not renounce his caste but instead took his warrior spirit and used it to disseminate the path to enlightenment to all who would learn the practice and defy ignorance in every sector.

One of Shakyamuni’s great motivators was his anger with the Brahmans of the day who had permitted the slow degradation of the early teachings of Brahmanism. Shakyamuni strived to make all peoples aware of their innate “elite” natures and awaken to their inherent Buddha natures.

It can be shown and said that by his example and the example of later great teachers of Buddhism like T’ien-T’ai (Tendai), Saicho, and Nichiren that Buddhism is a Heroic practice attending to the highest ideals of all Mankind and with no tolerance for ignorance. To practice Buddhism is to introspect and to defeat ignorance both in one’s self and in one’s environs. This is not the path of a pacifist!

It takes courage to be Free. It requires a tremendous piety to the grandeur and preciousness of life to take the charge of life’s dignity. Cowards are rampant today. Cowards destroy life and take the dignity of life as their prisoner. Why; because it is easy. Dignity is a fragile foe and has no strength or defence of its own. Dignity can only be defended in its declaration. What war can be easier to win than the war against a foe with nothing to stand for it?

America is run by cowards who prey on their own citizens, usurping the dignity of its entire people in the name of greed and “power”. But it is a false “power”, an empty “power”, fore it is a “power” without dignity, and therefore not a “power” at all. All the “power” the greedy and military have, is the power given to them by the in-action of the populace.

Ghandi understood this perfectly. Ghandi took a nation of over one billion people and simply said to them, that when the “powerful”, wealthy, well equipped English forces demanded that any individual or group act in accord to the demands of the English presence, that each individual must simply sit down and refuse to acknowledge or act in any way to accord with the demands.

Through in-action, Ghandi and India was able to rest power from the invaders and eventually drive them out of their country. Ghandi’s India did not rise to arms, did not try to match fire with fire in a game they were not equipped for. Ghandi’s India simply did what was most efficacious for their state; they sat and re-captured their dignity by refusing to act in accord with the forces that would take their dignity.

Think what would happen if Americans, all Americans, simply stayed home and farmed their properties for six months. That, until wages were made equitable, and work weeks were shortened to four day weeks, and the redistribution of wealth be made real and even to all.

You see the problem is not that gasoline is expensive. The problem is that wages and earnings in this country do not reflect the cost of living in this country. Minimum wage should be the median wage!

And the absurdly grotesque billions of dollars spent on weaponry by this “government” should be wholly swapped for the national budget on education!

Teachers should be better prepared and also paid at the same scale as doctors. Many of them are doctors. The lives of the youth, to carry on the dignity and constant vigil for a democratic society constantly aware of the challenge, requires a well-educated populace.

On this topic, the Plutocracy of greedy elite in this country has totally bamboozled the citizens, and the military-industrial complex has replaced the democratic ideal for a dignity for life to a vengeful beast of acquisition and avarice.
